The historic IU leader and former mayor of Córdoba , Julio Anguita , continues to be in "critical condition" in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba after having suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday morning.
This has been indicated by health sources to Europa Press, specifying that this Sunday morning Anguita continues to be in "critical condition and without significant changes."
These same sources explain that Julio Anguita was treated on Saturday morning at his home in Córdoba by the health emergency team located in Fuensanta . The 061 professionals had to apply "cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers when the patient was in cardiac arrest."
He was then transferred in the mobile ICU from 061 to the Reina Sofía University Hospital, where he remains admitted to the ICU "in a critical situation and pending evolution".
Anguita has previously suffered several heart attacks that led her to undergo surgery twice for heart problems. He suffered the first heart attack in 1993 in Barcelona.
