Season 4 of

True Detective

is indeed in preparation, and on the poster, we will find a certain Jodie Foster.

The Oscar-winning actress will star as an investigator named Liz Danvers, according to Deadline.

Not much is known about this new story from the already cult anthology, but HBO has announced that the program will center on an investigation in Alaska after the disappearance of six men who run a research station.

Jodie Foster will also serve as executive producer for this season, which will also be executive produced by Barry Jenkins.

almost beginner

This is Jodie Foster's first ever television role as an adult.

Because if she appeared on the screen when she was very young, in series like

Gunsmoke

,

My Three Sons

and

Paper Moon

, she has been mainly oriented towards the big screen since 1975.

There is generally no connection between the seasons of

True Detective

, which leaves its authors (in this case Issa Lopez, who will also direct the series) complete freedom to create what they want.

The first season, released in 2014, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, was critically acclaimed, and although the second, released the following year starring Colin Farrel, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch, was deemed a disappointment, HBO trusted enough in the

True Detective

“brand”

to order a third season, airing four years later, with Mahershala Ali in the lead role.

No broadcast date has been announced for this season 4.
