The Japanese Ministry of Defense estimated that the two ballistic missiles fired by North Korea into the East Sea both flew 350 to 400 km with a maximum altitude of 50 km.
Deputy Minister of Defense Toshiro Ino met with reporters on the morning of the 1st and said, "At 6:42 and 6:58 a.m., North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the East Sea. There is,” he said.
Deputy Minister Ino added, "Both missiles are presumed to have landed outside Japan's exclusive economic zone (EEZ)."
Local broadcaster NHK reported that there was no confirmed damage to aircraft or ships caused by North Korea's missile launch.
The Japanese government protested to North Korea through the Beijing embassy, saying that North Korea's missile launch threatens the peace and security of the region and the international community.
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has instructed the public to focus on collecting and analyzing information on North Korean missiles to provide prompt and accurate information to the public, and to prepare for unexpected situations while thoroughly checking the safety of aircraft and ships.
