The Speaker of the Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, stressed that the UAE's experience in hosting "Expo 2020 Dubai" is an inspiring and exemplary experience.

This came during his visit to the Japanese and German pavilions at the Dubai Expo.

Saqr Ghobash began the visit, accompanied by the Assistant Secretary-General for Legislation and Oversight in the Federal National Council, Dr. Saif Saeed Al-Muhairi, on a tour inside the Japan Pavilion, where he was briefed on the cultural, heritage and natural aspects it contains that tell the story of Japan, its history, the traditions of its people and its culture.

He was received by Japan's Ambassador to the UAE, Akio Isumata, and Nakamura Tomiyasu, Commissioner-General of the Japan Pavilion at Expo Dubai.

Ghobash listened to one of those in charge of the pavilion, which is held under the slogan "Where Ideas Meet", an explanation of the importance that Japan attaches to international cooperation and partnerships, especially that Japan will host "Expo 2025" in Osaka. Innovations and the most advanced technologies, within the framework of the "Tokyo 2025" vision, which keeps pace with the concepts of sustainability and its future vision that stems from its culture, customs and traditions.

He also visited the German pavilion in the "Sustainability" area of ​​the "Dubai Expo" under the slogan "Germany Forum", which is one of the largest international pavilions participating in this session.

The President of the Federal National Council toured the various sections of the pavilion, which includes energy laboratories, the City of the Future and Biodiversity, through which dozens of German innovations that promote sustainability are presented, most notably solar cells for energy generation, sustainable food production technologies, as well as ideas related to giant future cities. .

The German pavilion is distinguished by engaging its visitors in experiences that bring them closer to the idea of ​​sustainability through practical coexistence, as the pavilion embodies the ideas it contains, which focus mainly on science and knowledge, technological development and the research and innovation environment, with an interest in employing digital technologies and artificial intelligence on a large scale.
