On this day, a media reported that Noel, who was arrested in October of last year, has been detained in a single living room at the Seoul Detention Center for about five months so far, claiming that there is no preferential treatment.
Regarding this, Rep. Jang said, "I make it clear that I have not intervened in any way since my son's problem occurred." "I am well aware of how sensitive this issue is in a situation where he is called Jang Je-won's son, not Noel. But, even as a father, I would like to state that I have never commented or intervened in any matters such as incidents, investigations, trials, and detention in the detention center regarding my son's problem."
Rep. Jang continued, "After the report went out, I found out with the lawyer, and I heard that his son Yong-jun wanted to live alone, but the detention center decided to live alone because of management issues."
It is absurd to say that it is a privilege to have a son who has been living in solitary confinement for over five months.

Previously, Noel was indicted without detention in September 2019 on charges of drunk driving and changing drivers, and was then sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison in the first trial, 2 years of probation, and an order to attend 40 hours of law-abiding driving lessons.
