Since his early childhood, the relationship of Emirati Jaber Al-Mutaiwi began with the desert, as he grew up among the meanings of its sands, which made him gain his experience in this world through coexistence and daily life, so that he had the ability to classify all the effects he sees in the sand, so he differentiates between types of animals, males and females. .

Al-Mutaiwee's time spent in the desert led him to discover many ancient coins that bear part of the history of the Emirates and the nature of life at that time.

He likens life in the desert to the book that we discover every time we read it anew, and he considers life in it a pleasure that cannot be matched by any other pleasure in life.

Al-Mutaiwi said in his interview with “Emirates Today”: “He learned many skills that enable a person to live in pleasure in the desert, as he learned all kinds of hunting, and he became familiar with the types of animals in this environment, until he was able to identify them from their footprints. And at times that vary between night and day ».

He added that “he started his life with sniping, and mastered this craft at the age of 30 years, and discovered that animals need great care. Available for construction or projects ».

intimate relationship

Although Al-Mutaiwi learned hunting from a young age, his attachment to the desert and the creatures that live in it kept him away from that hobby, so today he is more interested in animals, as he works to transport animals affected by projects or construction and provides them with a safer alternative, after a study Around the area and its animals of all kinds, in addition to the approximate numbers, then after that the animals are transported to remote places in the desert with the provision of the necessary nutrition for them and placed in a place far from cars, and what could endanger their lives.

Al-Mutaiwi worked on many projects, including the Al Maktoum Airport project and the Dubai South project, which reached an area of ​​approximately 15 square kilometers, in addition to the solar energy project and the Al-Arab Canal project, explaining that «some animals live in burrows, and are extracted from them to Safer places ».

That close relationship with the desert, made Al-Mutaiwi discover many ancient coins, and the first pieces he discovered were in the fold of the palm tree, then he found other pieces engraved with the word Louis XVI, and it is likely that they were made in India.

He mentioned that this area was inhabited by the Bedouins, and therefore after he found the first piece, he began to search, specifically near the wells, and found a number of pieces near the fold of the palm trees and the folding of the nests, and some of them were minted in India, dating back to the eighties and seventies of the last century, explaining that "The dirham coin goes back to 1971, and there are second pieces dating back to 1945, and there was a square piece, and it came in limited copies."

It is not a new thing

In addition to the coins, Al-Mutaiwi found many things, including an old gunshot, which was found during his work on a report for transporting animals. “Mozart” was written on it, dating back to the year 1332 AH, and it was used for snipers.

He added, "The mozzar industry is about 110 years old, and is due to a weapon that was used in wars, which is heavy and anti-armor for long distances."

He emphasized that the factors of erosion that occur in the desert are what remove all these treasures from the desert, and easily can be obtained by those who walk every day in the desert and pay attention to the details.

Al-Mutaiwee pointed out that the coins found in the desert are not new, telling an old story to his father with coins that had a special stamp.

He added: “During the winter season, my family found - while collecting firewood in the desert - a small jar, and when they took it out and broke it, they found coins in it. The 90 coins they found in the jar, so he provided them in return with supplies of all foodstuffs of all raw materials for a period of nearly a year, indicating that the coins were valuable, but they did not realize this at the time.

Arabian Oryx

Jaber Al-Mutaiwee said that transporting desert animals, and providing safe alternatives to them, helps to preserve them and protect the threatened species from extinction.

He added that this is particularly evident through the Arabian Oryx, whose numbers have reached between 3000 and 4000 heads, after it was threatened with extinction, noting that it is particularly interested in the Arabian oryx, gazelles and reem.
