Well.

As evidenced by data published in the overseas media by the non-profit American Automobile Association, which monitors fuel prices in the United States, gasoline prices in the citadel of democracy last Saturday again - for the fourth time in a week, for a second!

- updated historical highs.

Moreover, they did this, despite all the attempts of the native authorities on the eve of the autumn midterm elections to contain their already, it seems, not very controlled growth.

So, according to the Association, a gallon of gasoline (3.785 liters, the cost is calculated according to Regular, which approximately corresponds to AI-92 in Russia) has risen in price to $4.452 on average across the country (up to $5.926 in "premium" California).

Diesel fuel - up to $5,565.

Just for comparison: in the same period last year, prices were $3,039 and $3,160, respectively.

That even, believe me, Russian motorists who are accustomed to everything in the world is quite impressive, purely theoretically - they, fortunately for them, are watching what is happening from afar.

And now just imagine, for a second, how impressed by what is happening, not only, as they say, the radical voters of the defeated Republican Donald Trump in the most democratic now, in every sense of the word, USA.

But also ordinary taxpayers.

At the same time, of course, the current American administration characterizes the increase in fuel prices, we recall, exclusively by “Putin's price increase”: here those who at one time “Obama unscrewed the light bulbs in the porches” (c) should especially appreciate the subtle irony of their current overseas employer .

And, of course, he explains the consequences of the restrictions imposed around the world on the purchase of Russian oil as part of the sanctions for the special operation of the Russians in the territory of Ukraine, which is under the jurisdiction of the United States and personally to the Biden family.

The fact that fuel prices in the United States went up so sharply that they even had to unpack strategic American oil reserves long before the start of the Russian special operation does not bother the White House for a second.

Well, Putin.

This one can.

And in fact everything...

... In fact, of course (let's not be so arrogant as to be proud, "as we are the whole world in dust"), the rise in fuel prices in America, by its original nature, has very little to do with both the Russian special operation in Ukraine and the subsequent Western restrictions.

They did not even become a trigger, but only a catalyst for the process, but by no means the initial cause of the impending real disaster.

Moreover, it makes more sense to consider this Ukrainian military-political crisis as a consequence of the impending systemic catastrophe of the Anglo-Saxon economic model and a not very competent attempt to stop it by robbing the economies of continental Europe.

And by no means the other way around.

Now let's try to explain.

As the British The Economist recorded last week, Western sanctions, to the greatest regret of the publication, of course, could not affect the functioning of oil and natural gas supplies from Russia to other countries.

And even more so, the American embargo on Russian oil could not in any way cause a similar rise in the price of gasoline and diesel fuel in the United States, just purely mathematically.

No, some kind of volatility in the markets, of course, could have been their consequence, but not by $0.15 per week on average in a huge and still monstrously rich and outwardly quite powerful country.

Let's just remind the dear reader that when the current US President Joe Biden took office and took the oath of allegiance to the people of America, gasoline in the country cost about $2.5 per gallon.

Already in January 2022, it cost about $3.34.

And now, we recall, - $ 4,452.

The dynamics, as you can see, are impressive, and no Putin with a special operation in Ukraine has absolutely and decisively nothing to do with it.

It just doesn’t beat on time, as far as you know.

Moreover, the United States in this case is far from being in the worst position.

In allied Germany, for example, Americans can only be envied (even by residents of sunny California) - there, in Germany, gasoline costs an average of € 2.10 - 2.15 per liter, and not for some kind of your horse overseas gallon.

A gallon of gasoline directly and immediately costs the Germans about €8, i.e.

almost two (!) times more expensive than the Americans.

And let us remind you that no one has yet imposed an “oil embargo” in Europe.

They're squabbling for now.

Ursula von der Leyen almost beats in a permanent hysteria, promises and promises everything, but in fact, purely technically, they have not yet been introduced.

And already such here, in all senses tremendous, effect.

In addition, let's modestly remind the respected audience of the already common truth: gasoline and diesel are not only what the audience pours into their tanks in cars.

Although these figures of people of a nervous warehouse are also, to put it mildly, impressive.

These are also trucks, trucks, other transport logistics, including food, and therefore inevitably affect the price tags for everything, including food.

And we are not talking about the growing cost of current agricultural work.

Well, now just imagine how American, for example, truckers will react to the potential “alignment” of prices with European ones.

And what do they do with gasoline with potential prices of about $8 for that very gallon?

And if only truckers!

It’s not just that the head of the US Oil and Gas Association, Tim Stewart, says on Fox News that the energy crisis that his country is now experiencing may be the most difficult in the last half century, for a second.

And that, we quote, "the prices of diesel fuel and gasoline are at an all-time high, and stocks are at an all-time low."

But the worst thing is not even that, the worst thing is that the trend towards the systemic development of the crisis is already practically obvious to everyone.

Moreover, throughout the "Western world", and the leaders of price growth here, obviously, are not yet the United States.

Although they will catch up, no doubt, thanks to "exchange and market mechanisms."

And here it would not be easy for them to slow down, the need for which is already being said not only by experts, but also by one of the pillars of the Western financial world, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yelen, they would have to think about emergency, consolidated throughout the global space, anti-crisis measures, at least least in the fields of energy and food.

Because otherwise a global catastrophe within the framework of the Western economic model becomes virtually inevitable.

And instead, despite even the elementary instinct of self-preservation, they continue to stubbornly cut money on financial turbulence in exchange trading and, no less virtual for them, so far the “Ukrainian war”.

And for a qualified outside observer with a normal psyche, to be honest, what is happening in this sector is becoming more and more difficult to understand every month.

If only, here, at the level of a tale, turning into a parable, perhaps.

Once I was sitting here with my friends, unpatriotically drinking English beer and talking about modern Western European literature - there are now many very interesting names appearing there.

They argued, in particular, about how the parasitic part of culture flourishes precisely on the decline of statehood: the Russian empire, the Silver Age, cocaine, everything, excuse me, deeds.

Mentioned, of course, and respected Oswald Spengler with his classic for today's "Decline of Europe".

And suddenly they realized with horror that it was not even a sunset: sorry, guys, but it seems that twilight has already ended for you and the night is coming with might and main.

And not only in the economy.

And the bloody tent show of ghouls on the territory of the once flourishing Soviet republic of Ukraine, by the way, is only documentary ruthless evidence of this.

And it’s not a trigger at all, and even more so it’s not the cause of your systemic economic crisis.

At least, during daylight hours, this evil spirit would not even dare to raise its head.
