He explained: "The number of hotel establishments in Dubai until February 2022, based on the latest statistics, reached 763, providing 139,069 hotel rooms, while the results confirm the increase in the number of rooms booked during the first two months of this year to 6.30 million rooms, compared to 4.81 million hotel rooms. For the same period in 2021, as for revenues from rooms, it amounted to 483 dirhams, compared to 254 dirhams for the same period in 2021,” stressing that the organization of “Expo 2020 Dubai” contributed significantly to the increase in the demand for accommodation in hotel establishments.

Kazim stressed that the department supports the government of Dubai in achieving its competitive vision as a major global center for economy and tourism, and raising its classification within the competitiveness indicators of economy and tourism.

He pointed to unifying visions and working as a team to achieve the goals of: making Dubai one of the top five cities in the main economic indicators, attracting 100,000 companies within three years, promoting an increase in the added value of the industrial sector by 150% within five years, and working to expand foreign export markets of local products by 50%, as well as attracting 400 global economic activities annually by 2025, encouraging private sector companies and family businesses to list them in Dubai’s financial and stock markets, and increasing the rate of attracting tourists by 40%, which is equivalent to 25 million tourists by 2025.

New hotel projects in Dubai during 2022

Issam Kazim, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said that in light of the renaissance that Dubai is witnessing, and the increase in the number of international visitors to it, and the incentives it provides to encourage investors to set up their tourism projects, we are witnessing the entry of new facilities to the market every year.

He added: “The Royal Atlantis Residences on the Palm is scheduled to open during the fourth quarter of 2022, and it is a project that offers multiple options, including apartments of two, three, four and five rooms, as well as (Skycourt), “penthouses” and suites. Gardens".

He pointed out that when fully completed, the "Royal Atlantis Residences" will provide 231 apartments and 795 rooms and suites on more than 10 hectares of land within the resort.

He continued, "The (W Dubai Mina Seyahi) hotel joins the list of five-star hotels in Dubai, and it is scheduled to open during the third quarter of 2022, and it consists of 318 rooms and suites."

Kazem revealed that the Radisson Hotel Group revealed the opening of the Radisson Dubai Palm Jumeirah Hotel and Resort in the second quarter of 2022, comprising 389 rooms and five food and beverage outlets. The first resort of the Marriott hotel group is scheduled to open on the Palm Jumeirah. In the summer of 2022. The Palm Marriott Resort will include 608 rooms, eight restaurants and multi-use lounges, in addition to a world-class spa and fitness facilities for children.

The Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah Hotel and Resort will open in September 2022, and the Lana Hotel, affiliated to the Dorches Tree Group, in the fourth quarter of 2022 in the Burj Khalifa area.

The hotel is located in a 30-storey tower and will have 156 rooms and 69 suites.
