The official Syrian News Agency "SANA" announced that Israel had carried out, on Tuesday night, two aggressions against the governorates of Damascus and Quneitra, in the south of the country.

In two urgent reports, the agency said, "Israeli aggression near the village of Ruhaina, south of Quneitra," and "Israeli aggression in the vicinity of Jabal Al-Mani` in the Damascus countryside."

SANA reported that "the air defenses are dealing with the Israeli aggression in the vicinity of Jabal Al-Mani` in the Damascus countryside."

Israel has launched hundreds of air and missile strikes on Syria since 2011, and these strikes have targeted sites of the Syrian army and other sites of Iranian forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah.

A week ago, Syria announced that “the air defense media responded to an Israeli aggression in the sky of the Damascus area,” SANA reported that 3 soldiers were killed and another wounded in the raids launched by Israel today, without clarifying the ranks of the soldiers.

At the time, the Israeli military said it had launched raids on military sites belonging to the Iranian Quds Force and the Syrian army in Syria.

"What Iran and Syria have done is that they planted improvised explosive devices ... to target the Israeli soldiers. What we have done is that we have just struck targets of the Quds Force and the Syrian army in Syria," he said in a statement on Twitter.
