Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 19 (Reporter Ji Ye) The International Olympic Committee held its executive committee in Lausanne on the 19th, announcing that the Chinese track and field men's 4X100m relay team won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, consisting of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang. There are six ways for the Chinese team to get this late medal.

According to the steps for re-issuing Olympic medals by the International Olympic Committee, after the official announcement of the International Olympic Committee, the athletes who have won the medals will receive a notification from the Olympic Committee of their country (region), and then choose the method of collection.

The six types of ceremonies are: at the next Olympic Games, at the Youth Olympic Games, at the IOC Headquarters or the Olympic Museum, at national (regional) Olympic committee-related events, at international sports organization-related events, and private ceremonies.

Once an athlete has determined an award ceremony, the International Olympic Committee will, together with the relevant national (regional) Olympic Committee, hold a medal re-issuance ceremony within one year (unless they choose to receive the medal at the next Olympic Games).

In the men's 4X100m final at the Tokyo Olympics last year, the Chinese team, consisting of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang, ran 37.79 seconds, ranking fourth, with Italy, Britain and Canada taking the top three. .

The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued an announcement on February 18 this year, finding that British sprinter Chikindu Uja violated anti-doping regulations during the Tokyo Olympics. Uja was in the men's 4X100m relay final and the men's 100m at the Tokyo Olympics. All achievements in the competition were cancelled and the silver medal won by the British team in the men's 4X100m relay final at the Tokyo Olympics was also stripped.

The Canadian team won the silver medal, and the Chinese team won the bronze medal.

This is also the first medal won by the Chinese men's 4X100m relay team at the Olympics.
