On the afternoon of the 27th, a man who appeared to be an adult was found lying down on the roof of a multi-tenant building in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, and then died.


The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating as a fatal injury case because it was witnessed to be beaten by multiple people.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, after 2:30 pm on the 27th, a nearby woman called 110 on the roof of a 10-story multi-tenant building in Kabukicho, Shinjuku.



When police officers rushed in, a man who appeared to be an adult fell unconscious on the roof of the building and was taken to the hospital, but died about an hour and a half later.



At the time of the report, he was witnessed being beaten by multiple people, and the man had a large bruise on his chest and a swollen face.



The Metropolitan Police Department is proceeding with confirmation of the identity of the man and is investigating the whereabouts of the person who escaped as a fatal injury case.



The site is near the Shinjuku Ward Office and is a corner of a downtown area with restaurants and other places.
