Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, it was found that nearly 90% of universities nationwide postponed regular classes, while only 60% of them introduced online classes.

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), as of the 12th of this month, 86.9% of the universities nationwide postpone regular classes.

▽ Public Universities 82.9%,
▽ Private Universities 87%,
▽ Colleges of Technology 87.7%.

On the other hand, only 66.2% of people are conducting online classes instead of regular classes.

▽ Colleges of technology: 75.4%.

In order to improve the online environment at each university, there are also movements such as providing benefits to financially difficult students and lending computers and Wi-Fi.

However, even at universities that are actually conducting online classes, Internet lines are crowded and problems continue to occur, and measures are being sought.
