small worm stumbles in the tap filter.

Since the 9th, more than 20 reports have been received that larvae are mixed in tap water supplied to households in 4 dongs such as Wondang-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon.

In addition to Seo-gu, Incheon, where the report was filed, larvae were confirmed in the tap water at a family home in Gyeyang-gu at the end of last month.

[Inhabitants of Gyeyang-gu, Incheon: After washing the dishes, I saw it again and there was another. It is thin and short like a worm, but it is moving.]

It is presumed to be larvae and larvae, but Incheon City estimated that larvae occurred in the activated carbon filter of the Gongchon Water Purification Plant that supplies tap water.

The Gongchon Water Purification Plant uses an activated carbon filter to filter it one more step, and it is possible that the larvae from the filter have spread.

Incheon city said there was no problem in the area receiving water from other water purification plants except Gongchon Water Purification Plant, but in the case of Gyeyang-gu confirmed by SBS, it is receiving water from Bupyeong Water Purification Plant, not from Gongchon Water Purification Plant.

As the Bupyeong Water Purification Plant uses the same activated carbon filter as the Gongchon Water Purification Plant, Incheon City has notified residents of the area when it reports larvae.

[Baek Myeong-Soo/Chief of the Tap Water Citizens Network: It is very rare that this has happened. (Filter) It may be a question of whether it was a storage problem or a problem in the processing process.]

Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education stopped feeding for 39 preschools and 39 elementary and junior high schools in Seo-gu today.

The city of Incheon urged local residents who found larvae not to drink tap water directly for safety.
