Innovatively release the kinetic energy of "new infrastructure" to accelerate the full-scenario smart landing in Shenzhen

In 2020, the "new infrastructure" will usher in new development opportunities, and the digital transformation of all walks of life will press the accelerator key.

Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, seized the opportunity and actively deployed new infrastructure construction with 5G, cloud and AI as the three elements, and continued to improve the level of urban intelligence.

As a technology company rooted in Shenzhen, Huawei uses cloud, AI, big data and other technologies to help Shenzhen build a digital base and build a model for a global smart city.

Huawei helps implement smart application scenarios and enhance urban happiness

"New infrastructure" is a major engineering and infrastructure construction project clearly launched by my country. Smart city construction is an indispensable part of "new infrastructure", and technological innovation is their common important driving force.

Since its establishment, Huawei has carried out all-round cooperation with the Shenzhen Municipal Government in many basic industries such as Kunpeng, Shengteng, artificial intelligence, and industrial Internet to jointly build innovation centers and realize the digital transformation and upgrading of urban industries.

Up to now, more than 1,800 Shenzhen companies are using Huawei to carry out digital transformation, involving financial, transportation, manufacturing, power, education, medical and other industries.

Taking the digital economy as a starting point, Huawei relies on new technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, and AI to help Shenzhen build a solid foundation for urban digitalization, and build an urban environment where public services are leading, people live and work in peace, and industry development strives for excellence.

Huawei and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport have built scenario-based solutions for "a map of airport operations," "a network of airport safety," and "a face of airport travel" around the three major business areas of "operations control, security, and service".

Since last year, passengers only need to swipe their faces for security check at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, and they can pass quickly in two seconds without even having to pay for their ID cards.

Huawei and the Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid deployed transmission video monitoring terminals on the edge. Through a new model of "system intelligent analysis as the main and manual judgment as a supplement", line patrol staff can complete on-site inspections in the transmission monitoring command center in 2 hours jobs.

A richer and more vivid picture of smart city life is being staged in Shenzhen. Every Shenzhen citizen can truly feel the convenience of the digital city and experience the beauty of smart life.

"New infrastructure" keeps pace, accelerating the intelligence of the whole scene

With the continuous development of smart cities, application-oriented innovation 1.0 can no longer meet the needs of current urban development. Cities need to move towards the innovation 2.0 era where both application innovation and basic innovation are emphasized. Therefore, it is necessary to vigorously develop basic innovation.

In order to accelerate the progress of Shenzhen’s “new infrastructure” construction, promote the continuous transformation of the digital economy, and build a firm cornerstone for building a smart city, on July 21, 2020, the Shenzhen Municipal Government announced at a special press conference on “new infrastructure” that the first batch of “new infrastructure” will be built. There are 95 "infrastructure" projects with a total investment of 411.9 billion yuan. The planned investment this year is 100.6 billion yuan.

At the same time, it is focused on achieving the goal of 45,000 5G base stations, advancing the construction of 5G+industrial Internet, artificial intelligence+industrial Internet, realizing the development of multi-business integration, and helping traditional industries to transform and upgrade.

In the same month, the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission and Huawei signed a "New Infrastructure" strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will strengthen the 5G, cloud computing, big data, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, major technology infrastructure and digital Shenzhen's urban construction. Cooperation in various aspects has actively promoted Shenzhen’s “new infrastructure” construction to achieve an international leading position.

Shenzhen and Huawei will work together to build a "All-Scenario Smart Shenzhen". Intelligence will be fully integrated into various fields such as urban governance, public services, and industrial development, covering all aspects of urban life.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. Standing at a new starting point, Shenzhen will set off again on the east wind of "new infrastructure".

Huawei will continue to help Shenzhen move from an application-oriented urban innovation 1.0 to an urban innovation 2.0 era where application innovation and basic innovation go hand in hand, strengthen basic innovation construction, build a complete industrial ecology, and create a full-scenario smart Shenzhen.

At the same time, Huawei will further promote Shenzhen to play its role as an engine and strive to form a new pattern of full opening up in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
