As food prices continue to climb on supermarket shelves, more and more French people are finding alternatives to spend less money at checkout.

This has not escaped anyone: with inflation, the prices of consumer goods are soaring and the bill is more and more salty at the checkout.

“People come naturally by word of mouth”

Among the good plans to pay for less expensive races, there are sites that list all the promotions.

Their number of users has skyrocketed in recent weeks, notes Laurent Enselme, founder of anti-crise.fr.

"We don't do advertising operations so people come naturally by word of mouth. We had about 1.8 million visitors at the start of the year, last month we had passed the 2 million mark. We have people who come regularly to consult the site", he explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

And then there is also the success of anti-waste applications that are attracting more and more consumers.

Sarah Chouraqui is the general manager of Too Good To Go France, which offers fresh products at bargain prices near you.

"Recently we saw that we had an increase of about 35% in downloads. We really associate that with purchasing power because we also see it in the testimonials we receive from our users. They really thank us for having access to quality food at a low price in a context where purchasing power concerns a large majority of French people", she underlines on Europe 1.

Applications that consumers also use more regularly by connecting on average once a week against 1 to 2 times a month last year.
