"Containment number 5" or "opening number 1"? Not easy to navigate between the terms of the government, but India launched on Saturday evening an important phase of deconfinement which will begin this June.
New humanitarian chaos and logistics
The movement of goods and people will again be authorized between the different states of the second world population, while the closure of internal borders has created unprecedented humanitarian and logistical chaos for two months.
Places of worship, hotels, restaurants and shopping centers will be the first to reopen from June 8. Educational institutions will follow from July. Depending on the situation, international air traffic , cinemas or stadiums will be the last to find their audience.
States at work
Behind these central directives, deconfinement will take place at different speeds depending on the State. Madhya Pradesh extends the current confinement until mid-June while in Bengal, places of worship will open instead tomorrow.
Each state also remains free to lay down its quarantine rules for entrants. Infectious outbreaks will continue to be strictly contained.
