Live scenes showed the Israeli occupation forces assaulting people carrying the Palestinian flag in Bab al-Amud, in conjunction with the march of Israeli flags.

And video clips captured by Al-Jazeera camera documented a soldier of the occupation forces assaulting a Palestinian young woman who raised the Palestinian flag, in the face of thousands of extremist Israeli settlers, in front of the Al-Amoud Gate, one of the doors of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

A video clip broadcast by Palestinian activists on social media showed that the occupation forces beat a young man who raised the Palestinian flag among the settlers while they were dancing in Bab al-Amud Square.

And the Israeli flags marched to the Bab al-Amoud area, under the protection of the occupation forces, which evacuated the area from the Palestinians, and arrested dozens of them.

The settlers raised the Israeli flags, and chanted songs and chants in the streets of Jerusalem.

And the fanatical MK Itamar Ben Gvir participated in the march.

Video clips showed the moment Israeli extremist Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir entered Bab al-Amud Square, amid a march of flags carried on their necks.

Itamar had just published a picture of him from the flags march in occupied Jerusalem, commenting on it, "We are now together with thousands in the flags procession, we do not give in to the threats of terrorist organizations, we walk with our heads held high in our eternal capital, and we wave the Israeli flag with national pride."

In a related context, Israeli media claimed that a number of Palestinian youths caused the fires in the French Hill area in Jerusalem, coinciding with the launch of the Israeli flags march.

Occupation attacks

The occupation police set up iron barriers to prevent Palestinians from entering and leaving the area;

To enable settlers to reach the Bab al-Amud area.

And the occupation police said - in a statement - that they arrested 6 Palestinian youths, claiming they violated order.

Five Palestinians were wounded in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces on Salah El-Din Street and Al-Zahra Street, in occupied Jerusalem.

The confrontations erupted after the occupation soldiers expelled the young men from the Bab al-Amoud area in preparation for the settlers' march.

Video clips also showed the moment the occupation forces fired dozens of tear gas canisters towards a peaceful demonstration organized by Palestinians in Bethlehem to protest against the flags march.

A video clip published by Palestinian platforms also showed the Jerusalemite Aida Al-Sidawi, raising the Quran and chanting slogans in the face of the occupation forces during their suppression of Jerusalemites in the Bab Al-Amoud area.
