In an interview with OilPoint, Makogon agreed that "the revenue line called transit completely disappears."

“That’s the fact that Gazprom began to dismantle the pipes on its territory through which gas is delivered to the border with Ukraine - this is a problem, but we can’t particularly influence it,” he said.

Makogon emphasized that in the event of a transit interruption through Ukraine, he would have to work to supply gas to his own consumers.

“We will shrink, squeeze and work for domestic supplies, imports, UGS facilities and production,” he said.

In April, Makogon commented on the likelihood of extending the contract for the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine after the expiration of a new five-year contract.
