The person in charge said that under the situation of normalized epidemic prevention and control, this year’s debate competition creatively launched four phases: “Aerial Class”, “Competition on the Cloud”, “Three Preliminaries” and “Debate Finals”. AIDS knowledge and power, college students use mobile phones to test their knowledge of AIDS prevention.

According to statistics, more than 170,000 people have watched knowledge lectures through "Cloud Class", and nearly 250,000 students from 238 colleges and universities in the three places participated in the online contest.

  The person in charge stated that since Beijing reported China's first AIDS case in 1985, as of the end of October this year, a total of 34,289 HIV-infected persons and cases had been reported, of which 7,575 were registered in Beijing, accounting for 22%.

Among all infected people and cases, 93% were sexually transmitted, of which 68% were homosexual transmission, 25% were heterosexual transmission, and 7% were transmitted through injection, drug use and other means.

  Speaking of AIDS prevention and control work in recent years, the person in charge said that Beijing's health and health departments have achieved staged progress by taking key measures for key populations and other prevention and control measures.

For example, the coverage of surveillance and testing has been continuously expanded. At present, a 5-level laboratory testing system has been established to realize the integration of laboratory testing such as AIDS antibody screening and confirmation to maximize the detection of infected persons; provide free antiretroviral treatment, and medical institutions above the second level in Beijing Green channels for referral for antiviral treatment have been opened, shortening the time from the discovery of confirmed cases to treatment, and greatly improving the effectiveness of prevention and treatment.

  The person in charge said that 92 universities and colleges in Beijing have established the "Youth Red Ribbon" organization with nearly 150,000 members. The Youth Red Ribbon Association of Capital Universities has become a brand for AIDS prevention.
