“Over the past day on July 1, 2022, 53 forest fires were extinguished in Russia on an area of ​​1230 hectares,” RIA Novosti reports.

According to Avialesookhrana, there are 114 forest fires in the country on an area of ​​52,526 hectares.

Earlier, the head of Rosleskhoz, Ivan Sovetnikov, said that this summer the greatest fire risk is expected in Yakutia, as well as in the regions of the Far East and Siberia.
