The newspaper published a report on Federer after Forbes announced a list of the 100 most athletes in 2020, as the world tennis champion topped the list for the first time in its history, beating the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the Argentine Lionel Messi, the Brazilian Neymar and the American basketball star LeBron James.
The newspaper said: "Federer tops the list for the first time in its history, as the largest revenue collector in the previous 12 months, with a total profit of 106.3 million dollars, which is also the first time that a tennis player has ranked this."
She added that «the tennis legend spends part of the large profits earned by him in buying real estate and expensive properties, noting that Federer’s most prominent property is a flat in Dubai worth 13 million pounds sterling.
And in 2014, Federer realized that he must have private property in Dubai, especially since he goes there annually in the winter, due to the cold weather in Switzerland where he owns two houses, one of which was built entirely of glass on Lake Zurich, and its value is 6.5 Millions of pounds.
She continued: «The Swiss star bought a property in one of the most distinguished towers in Dubai, by owning it (a presidential penthouse) in the tower called (Le Reve), which means French (dream), which has a wonderful view of the Arabian Gulf, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach, and Dubai Marina Filled with hundreds of millions of yachts.
The newspaper pointed out that «the tower consists of 50 floors and a height of 689 feet, and also inhabited by Formula 1 racing star, Spanish Fernando Alonso, who also owns an apartment in the tower itself».
