• In Nice, historically LR, the outgoing president won 25.13% of the vote.

  • A score obtained surely thanks to the rallying of the mayor Christian Estrosi.

  • The Alpes-Maritimes department voted overwhelmingly for the National Rally candidate, Marine Le Pen (26.64%).

The candidate La République en Marche (LREM) Emmanuel Macron came first in the first round of the presidential election in Nice with 25.13% of the vote.

Marine Le Pen follows with 22.39% and Jean-Luc Mélenchon who wins 21.58% of the votes cast.

Christian Estrosi's campaign

Results which reflect a turmoil in the historic lands of the party Les Républicains (LR) where the candidate Valérie Pécresse barely reaches 5.10% of the votes.

She is preceded by Eric Zemmour who obtains a score of 14.25%.

The highest score is still that of abstention, which stands at 29.78%.

Emmanuel Macron gains 5 points more than in the first round of the last presidential election in the Riviera capital (20.52%).

In 2017, the outgoing president's party only came in third place, behind François Fillon (LR), who then obtained 26.09% of the vote, and Marine Le Pen (RN), at 25.28%.

An effect which can be explained by the rallying of the ex-LR mayor Christian Estrosi who led a campaign for the head of state.

Throughout this campaign, we have indicated that nothing is a foregone conclusion.

This election will have taken place under exceptional conditions.

The President of the Republic @EmmanuelMacron has always been present and has been able to be systematically by our side.
