From 320 euros, the Moroccan minimum wage will increase to 333 euros within the next two years.

The three most representative trade union centers in the country have also negotiated an increase in family allowances from the fourth child.

These social measures fit into a context of economic crisis.

Due to record inflation, consumer prices have risen 5% this year.

Unheard of for 20 years.

Thus, for a full tank of gas, Moroccans must now pay 12 euros more.

And if foodstuffs were not spared by this price increase either, the war in Ukraine did not help the situation because more than a quarter of the wheat imported into Morocco comes from Ukraine.

Prices that local agriculture, which represents 14% of the country's GDP, cannot overcome.

The country is experiencing an unprecedented drought.

In this month of Ramadan, many Moroccans have had to tighten their belts.

Difficult living conditions that the government seems to have taken into account by promising, last week, to release aid to the tune of several billion euros in different sectors of the economy.
