blue flag
awarded by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC).
Located in the town of San Martín de Valdeiglesias,
this enclave has all the safety and hygiene guarantees
to enjoy it as a family.
The blue flag returns one more year to wave on the beach of Virgen de la Nueva.

Accessing the Virgen de la Nueva beach is easy.
Located 40 minutes by car from the capital (from the M40, you access the M-501 and, later, the M-957) you can park in a designated area.
Although, as is logical, on weekends it becomes
a very visited place and it is convenient to go with time
.
If this is not done, it is best to look for a hole in the vicinity of
the Virgen de la Nueva hermitage
, built in 1956 and which came to replace the 13th-century construction that was left under water after the creation of the San Juan reservoir.
Access to the sandy beach is perfectly signposted
and it becomes a freshwater paradise where children and adults alike can enjoy a day full of activities.
