Get your bike on board Lyon buses.

For the moment, the practice is not yet possible but it could become a formality soon.

Sytral elected officials took action on Monday afternoon of several measures aimed at developing the use of cycling as a complement to public transport.

Experiments will be carried out in this direction, like what has already been tested in the trains of the Lyon tramway since June.

Cyclists will soon be able to take their bikes "in certain bus lines", at "least busy times", indicates Sytral without specifying the date on which this new experiment will begin.

More bicycle spaces in relay parks

Since June, cyclists have already been able to make part of their journeys by two-wheeled vehicles, the rest by tram.

Monday to Friday before 7 a.m., between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., then after 7 p.m.

Saturdays (before 12 p.m. and after 7 p.m.) and Sundays and public holidays all day.

The experiment will be carried out until December.

In addition, the number of secure locations for bicycles in relay parks or multimodal transport hubs will quadruple by 2016. It will increase from 600 to 2,500.
