While contaminations are breaking records in Israel, with a positivity rate of nearly 12% that had not been reached for more than a year, Israel has decided to review its copy to fight the pandemic.

Paradoxically, with a record number of contaminations, the government has decided to reopen its borders.

The red list of countries particularly affected by the pandemic has been abandoned.

Reductions also since this Sunday morning in schools.

They will now be subject to the same regulations as shopping centers.

The quarantine policy is also lightened, in particular for vaccinated contact cases. 

PCR screening tests are now reserved for over 60s.

For the rest of the population, it is the self-tests and in some cases the antigenic tests under control that will be the benchmark.

Leap of severe cases

First result: less data on the number of daily contaminations.

We are already seeing a leap forward in the number of hospitalizations of Covid patients in serious condition, with 47% more cases in a few days.

At the weekly Council of Ministers this Sunday morning in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett promised free self-tests for children.

A study by the Israeli Defense Ministry points out: almost half of the results of antigen tests are wrong.
