Les Bleuets leave Oran with the best of medals.

The France under-18 team won the Mediterranean Games on Monday by beating Italy (1-0) in the final on Monday in Algeria.

This is the second title for Les Bleuets in this competition after the 1967 edition. The event brought together eight nations, including host country Algeria, beaten by France in the group stage in front of 40,000 spectators (3-2).

These Games are reserved for players born after January 1, 2004.

Thank you

In the final, in front of some 25,000 spectators, the under-18s won thanks to a goal from Bordeaux midfielder Lenny Pirringuel in the 68th minute.

This performance is in addition to the many good results of the French youth teams in recent weeks, with in particular a title of European champion for men under 17 won in early June.

The French women's under-19 team is on its side engaged in the Euro and will face Norway in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

Les Bleuettes are defending champions.
