A fire broke out at the golf clothing distribution center in Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and a large fire was extinguished in about 5 hours and 30 minutes.

On the 23rd at 11:40 am, a fire broke out at the Chris F&C logistics center in Ipyeong-ri, Majang-myeon, Icheon-si.

The logistics center that caught fire is a sandwich panel building with a total floor area of 14,600 square meters on the fourth floor, and it was found that 3 million pieces of golf clothing are stored inside.

The 142 people working at the time of the fire were safely evacuated.

No one was seriously injured, but one logistics center official who tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher suffered first-degree burns to his arm.

It is said that clothes and other items acted as a spark in the distribution center, and the fire spread rapidly due to the building structure made of combustible materials.

As a result, a red flame soared outside the distribution center not long after the fire broke out, and black smoke was constantly spewing out.

The fire department received about 20 reports immediately after the fire and issued a response level 1, an alert order, in which all fire department personnel are dispatched at 11:56 a.m., 16 minutes after the fire occurred.

Then, at 5:22 pm, the response stage was lifted by mobilizing 82 equipment, including helicopters and pump cars, and 267 firefighters.

Currently, most of the logistics center buildings are in a state of collapse.

The fire department plans to continue the firefighting work at night, including using excavators to clean up residual fires.
