Created more than 150 years ago, the Apprentis d'Auteuil Foundation works each year with 30,000 young people in difficulty and 6,000 families.
His father intended him for a life without ambition.
Thanks to the support of an uncle, he chose another path.
At the cost of a perilous journey.
Three years ago, Ibrahim left Guinea Conakry.
Arrived in France without his mother, father or a legal representative, he is what is called an unaccompanied minor (unaccompanied minor).
Supported by Social Assistance for Children (ASE), Ibrahim is now 18 years old and he is in professional cooking at the Sainte-Thérèse hotel school, an Apprentis d'Auteuil establishment which welcomes and supports 250 students.
The apprentice chef does not yet have his papers, but he has confidence in the future.
With a project in mind, to open a restaurant serving Guinean cuisine of French inspiration, and the desire to give back to others the help we have given him.

Overwhelming testimonies

Touching when they are not overwhelming, their testimonies are so many examples that young people are able to overcome the worst difficulties and find their place in society when given the means to do so.
