Traveling to Béziers, in Hérault, to promote hydrogen, President Emmanuel Macron announced that 1.9 billion euros will be devoted to the sector as part of the France 2030 investment plan of 30 billion. This source of energy could gradually replace oil.

Emmanuel Macron announced Tuesday in Béziers, in the Hérault, that 1.9 billion euros will be devoted to the development of the hydrogen sector as part of the France 2030 investment plan of 30 billion.

The development of hydrogen is "a battle for industry, for ecology and for sovereignty", declared the Head of State while visiting the company Genvia which develops high temperature electrolysers making it possible to produce l hydrogen from the water molecule (H20).

This new source of energy could gradually replace oil.
