China News Service, Hong Kong, June 17 (Reporter Wang Jiacheng) The National Security Division of the Hong Kong Police Force arrested five company directors on the morning of June 17 on suspicion of violating the Hong Kong National Security Law.

The 5 people include four men and one woman, aged between 47 and 63 years old.

They are suspected of violating Article 29 of the Hong Kong National Security Law, “conspiracy to collude with foreign countries or foreign forces to endanger national security”.

The police also searched the arrested person's residence.

  Five people are currently being detained for investigation.

  It is understood that the five arrested were Zhang Jianhong, Chief Executive Officer of Next Media, Zhou Daquan, Chief Operating Officer, Luo Weiguang, Editor-in-Chief of Apple Daily, Chen Peimin, Vice President, and Zhang Zhiwei, Platform Director of Apple News.
