Zhang Yupeng, who graduated from the University of Hong Kong, started working as an international real estate consultant in Hong Kong in 1999.
In 2008, seeing the opportunity of developing the western region, he decided to develop in Chengdu.
Today, he is the general manager of Western China of Cushman & Wakefield, a world-renowned real estate service provider, and an authentic "Chengdu son-in-law".
"Actually, before I came to Chengdu, my understanding of Chengdu was only based on the concept of the development of the western region." Zhang Yupeng said that when he chose the latter between "Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou" and Chengdu, it was precisely because of its development potential.
Now that 14 years have passed, the city has not let him down.
He took the urban hardware of Chengdu as an example: In 2008, there was no subway, and now the total mileage of subway operation has exceeded 500 kilometers.

Between work, he likes to look westward from the office on the 30th floor. When the weather is good, he can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance.
In his view, "Chengdu is a place where work and life can be perfectly combined".
An important job of Zhang Yupeng is to provide consulting services for foreign-funded enterprises to settle in the central and western regions.
He has a "coup" for attracting businessmen - he takes foreign businessmen to visit the farmhouses around Chengdu and ride bicycles on the greenways, "because Chengdu's culture and lifestyle are very attractive."
It is precisely because of this that this native Hong Kong native finally took root in Chengdu, married a Chengdu girl, and now considers himself a Chengdu native, "Chengdu is definitely my home."
"Chengdu native" Zhang Yupeng also spared no effort to do things for the Sichuan-Hong Kong exchange.
Especially during the "Sichuan-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Week" in 2018, he led the team to undertake the first foreign event of the Sichuan Provincial Government in Hong Kong.
Zhang Yupeng said that in recent years, many foreign investors have paid attention to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He has been emphasizing to each other that "the importance of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle of two cities can be matched with the Greater Bay Area."
"In recent years, more and more Hong Kong people have chosen to work in Chengdu." As the president of the Chengdu Alumni Association of the University of Hong Kong, Zhang Yupeng is very sensitive to the number of alumni in the University of Hong Kong, "There were about 50 alumni five years ago, but now There are already more than 200 people."
