The city of Västerås has now signed an agreement on a retirement home to be built on Ängsgärdet, opposite the hotel in the corner Pilgatan-Ängsgärdsgatan.

The floor plan is under construction, but the accommodation will receive between 80 and 90 apartments, according to a press release.

Klangsågen Mark AB, who is a property owner, leases the property to the city of Västerås for 25 years. The building is the third to be started in a short time.

- Cutting the gender of the elderly residents was one of our most important political promises for this term, says Jesper Brandberg (L), chairman of the property committee, among other things in a statement.
