A 59-year-old man was found dead this Saturday in the Obiou sector (Isère), a summit which is between Grenoble and Gap.
The 50-year-old had been wanted for more than 24 hours, reports France 3 Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.
Gone since 5 a.m. on Friday
On vacation in Gresse-en-Vercors, this Vosgien left on Friday around 5 a.m. on a hike.
His wife, worried about not seeing him return, had launched the alert around 3 p.m.
About twenty gendarmes have since been mobilized to try to find him.
His lifeless body was finally discovered late Saturday afternoon.
