Her Excellency confirmed that the Ministry of Community Development immediately began implementing the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him", so that support is provided to the deserving people in all parts of the country, in coordination with all relevant authorities.

She added that the Ministry of Community Development will start receiving requests for allowances instead of inflation, starting today, Tuesday, for those who meet the conditions, and the implementation of the new social assistance program will start during the month of September.

3 main programs within social support.

In detail, the Ministry of Community Development clarified that the social support program for low-income people in the country reaches a total value of 28 billion dirhams, where the value of annual social support has been raised from 2.7 billion to 5 billion dirhams annually.

The support program is fully covered by the Ministry of Community Development, while the program includes 3 main axes to support Emirati families with low incomes, including new allocations for support, increased bonuses, and the creation of bonuses for inflation and basic needs such as food, water, electricity and fuel.

- Beneficiaries of social assistance.

The Ministry of Community Development clarified that the disbursement of the allocations will start in September 2022, pointing out that the social assistance will be sums of money to be disbursed to eligible people with limited income according to the terms and conditions, and that the eligibility conditions are determined according to the social status.

A housing allowance allowance of up to a maximum of 2,500 dirhams is added if the conditions of the allowance are met, and an experience allowance for the working and retired head of the family is added in the amount of 2,000 dirhams to the basic amount every 10 years until the basic amount reaches 13,000 dirhams per month.

The main beneficiary, who is 45 years old and does not work, receives conditional social assistance in the amount of 2,000 dirhams, which increases by 1,000 dirhams every five years, to reach 5,000 dirhams when he reaches the age of 60, and his wife receives the wife’s allowance in the amount of 1,000 dirhams until it reaches 3,500 dirhams upon reaching the age of 60 years. Spouse age 60 years.

The main beneficiary who is looking for work also receives temporary social assistance for a period of 6 months at a value of 5,000 dirhams, and the rest of the allowances related to the wife and children apply to him.

Electricity and water support.

The Ministry of Community Development indicated that the beneficiaries of the electricity and water subsidy will be carried out in coordination with the concerned authorities so that a monthly subsidy of 50% is provided for electricity consumption of less than 4,000 kilowatts, and a monthly water subsidy of 50% for water consumption of less than 26,000 gallons.

She stated that it is possible to register for a request for electricity and water subsidy through the website of the Ministry of Community Development, starting today, Tuesday, 5 July, adding that those eligible for this support apply to the family in which one of its members (husband or wife) or both works and whose total income is less than 25,000 dirhams per month, This is done by calculating monthly salaries, pensions, returns from commercial licenses, returns on leased property and income from invested properties.

Retirees who have children under the age of 21, who are not married and who are not working, and whose total income is less than 25,000 dirhams per month, are entitled to electricity and water support. Fuel subsidy.

The ministry clarified that the fuel subsidy for some segments of society with low incomes will be in the event that fuel prices rise above 2.1 dirhams / liter. The value of the support depends on the situation.
