The future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in Liverpool is still in jeopardy after it was reported that the striker rejected the club's latest offer to extend his contract, and the latest data indicates that he has an argument in demanding a salary increase.

The 29-year-old is the Premier League's top scorer with 20 goals in 26 games this season, as well as 10 other assists for his teammates.

Salah's contract expires in June 2023, but there is no agreement yet between the club and Rami Abbas, Salah's agent.

It is believed that Salah earns one of the highest salaries in the "Reds", earning 200,000 pounds per week (261,000 dollars), but there is a general consensus that he could be offered more elsewhere.

According to research conducted by a British statistics company, Salah's salary is far from what the Premier League stars receive, and more than that, he occupies the 15th place in the list of the highest salaries in the English Championship, and this explains the reasons why Salah did not sign the extension contract offered by Liverpool.
