A bus driver was violently attacked by a passenger this Thursday morning in Montereau-Fault-Yonne (Seine-et-Marne).

The driver noticed a man who was annoying several passengers and was insistent.

He asked him to get off, but the suspect refused and got angry very quickly, hitting the victim several times with a padlocked bicycle chain.

Other passengers, including the driver's wife, intervened to separate the attacker and his victim.

Injured in the hand, the bus driver received two days of ITT and asserted his right of withdrawal after the attack.

The suspect, a 60-year-old man, was arrested by police and taken into custody.
