On Thursday, the Duke of Sussex, accompanied by his wife, en route to The Hague, made a stopover in the United Kingdom to visit his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
This information was quickly confirmed by the spokesperson for Harry and Meghan and several media.
The sovereign will celebrate her 96th birthday in a few days, at Windsor Castle, her main residence.
The couple left California to go to the Netherlands on the occasion of the Invictus Games, a sports competition open to the wounded and invalids of war, founded by Harry, which opens this weekend.
They travel without their children Archie and Lilibet, the latter still having not met the Queen face-to-face.

Absent at the end of March at the ceremony in tribute to his grandfather Prince Philip, who died a year ago at 99 years old.

Elizabeth II will also celebrate her 70 years of reign in early June, during several days of festivities.
