The Parisian handball players lost for the third time in four Champions League matches, beaten Thursday night in Poland by Kielce 35 to 33, for their first outing without their center-half Nikola Karabatic, absent for several months.

PSG started their match perfectly by leading in the first period (10-7), but cracked in the second half, the Parisian attack colliding with the German goalkeeper from Kielce Andreas Wolff and losing two precious balls at the end of the match.

The six-fold reigning French champions have two points (victory against the Norwegians of Elverum, and defeats against the Germans of Flensburg and the Belarusians of Brest).

To play the rest of the competition, PSG must take one of the first six places (out of eight) in its group after the 14 matches in the group stage.

The first two teams qualify directly for the quarter-finals, the other four must go through a barrage of access to the quarterfinals.
