The Hainan Provincial Government issued a second-level typhoon warning at 17:00 on the 12th. This is the first time that Hainan has launched the entire network of warning information this year.

  The Meteorological Department predicts that the "compass" will move westward at a speed of about 28 kilometers per hour, and it may land on the coastal areas from Wenchang to Lingshui in Hainan from the afternoon to night on the 13th. The landing intensity will be strong tropical storm level or typhoon level. (Level 10-12).

The "compass" is huge in size, with a circulation range of more than 1,500 kilometers, superimposed on the influence of cold air, and the strong winds it brings are high in intensity, long in duration, and in a wide range of influence.

  According to forecasts by the Meteorological Department, from 20: 00 on the 12th to 20: 00 on the 13th, most areas of southern China, such as the Taiwan Strait, Qiongzhou Strait, the eastern part of the Beibu Gulf, the coast of Guangdong, and the coast of Hainan Island, will have winds up to level 10 and gusts up to level 13, and the typhoon center will pass by There are 11-12 winds in the nearby sea area, with a maximum gust of 15 winds.

There was a heavy rainstorm of 250 mm to 280 mm in the central part of Hainan Island.

  Hainan Provincial Flood and Wind and Drought Prevention Headquarters upgraded its emergency response to flood and wind prevention to Level II at 17:00 on the 12th.

It is understood that the Qiongzhou Strait has been suspended across the board, and the Hainan Island High-speed Railway and the Haikou Intercity Train will be suspended on the 13th.

As of 21.00 on the 12th, Haikou Meilan International Airport has cancelled a total of 185 flights, and Sanya Phoenix International Airport has cancelled a total of 135 flights.

Haikou City, Wenchang City, Qionghai City, Sanya City and many other places have issued notices of suspension of classes. All schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions in the territory will be suspended for one day on the 13th, and the resumption time will be notified separately.

Some scenic spots in Haikou and Sanya are closed, and all marine entertainment projects are suspended.
