A 56-year-old from Landes had a terrible scare on Thursday evening, reports Sud-Ouest.

After bringing people back to their homes in the south of the Landes, she programmed her GPS to return home to Mont-de-Marsan.

She finally got lost trying to follow the directions of the device.

After turning and turning, it finally came out on a road alongside the Adour and his car ended up with the front submerged in the river.

A little panicked, she was nevertheless able to get out of her vehicle to contact the emergency services.

The firefighters came to assist him on the spot.
