The list of departments that want to drag Eric Zemmour to justice is growing every day a little more.

Guadeloupe, in turn, filed a complaint Wednesday for "incitement to hatred" against the polemicist and the CNews channel, said the prosecutor of the Republic of Basse-Terre.

"Unacceptable comments"

The complaint targets "the unacceptable remarks made in a program broadcast on September 30, 2020, affecting unaccompanied minors in the care of departmental communities", indicates the president of the department Josette Borel Lincertin.

"I strongly condemn" the "stigmatizing remarks which do not relate to freedom of expression or opinion but which are crimes and incitement to hatred", indicates the person in charge.

Already sentenced for the same reasons to a 10,000 euros fine, Eric Zemmour asserted on CNews that "all" migrant minors are "thieves", "murderers" and "rapists", after the attack perpetrated last month in front of the ex - Charlie Hebdo premises.

The complaint against him is part of a “concerted” action between several presidents of departmental councils who “have the competence and responsibility for child protection,” recalls Josette Borel Lincertin.

The prosecution opens an investigation

The president of the department waits for Eric Zemmour, "to answer for his statements before the Justice" and for "the CNews channel of the Bolloré group to finally take its responsibilities and to stop offering a forum to those who turn their backs on the laws and the values of the Republic ”.

Several complaints were filed against Eric Zemmour for his statements and the Paris prosecutor's office decided on October 1 to open an investigation against him, in particular for "incitement to racial hatred".
