Governor Tamaki has canceled his official duties since the 28th, and his return is expected to be as early as July 5th.

On the 27th, Governor Tamaki was confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in his family, and on the night of the 27th, Governor Tamaki was determined to be a close contact by the prefecture's director of health care.



In response to this, Governor Tamaki canceled his official duties from the 28th and conducted a PCR test, and on the morning of the 28th, he turned out to be positive.



According to the people concerned, Governor Tamaki has symptoms such as sore throat, so it is expected that he will be able to return to public service at the earliest after July 5.



On the other hand, at the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly, on the 28th, the governor was scheduled to attend and ask general questions, so we held the Assembly Steering Committee to hear from the prefecture side about the circumstances.



Among them, the prefectural side said that although the infection of the family was found when the prefectural assembly was taking a break around 7 pm on the 27th, the governor attended the assembly until around 9 pm after that. He explained that he needed to check the status of the contact.
