The Pixel 5, Google's future smartphone, is out of stock before it even goes on sale.

The phone is already advertised as "sold out" in the British, Irish, German and French online stores of the American giant.

The new smartphone will not be launched until Thursday, October 15, when it will be shipped to European customers, reports the

9to5Google

site

.

The demand generated by the pre-orders of the device was enough to exceed the supply expected by the manufacturer.

A success due to the price?

The Pixel 5 is still available for pre-order in the United States.

However, American customers will not receive the terminal until two or three weeks after European buyers.

But they will have an advantage over consumers in the Old Continent: they will be the first to be able to enjoy the Pixel 4a 5G, well before other regions of the world.

On most sites, Google sells its Pixel 5 in two colors, sage-blue and black.

Both versions are sold out in the affected markets.

The phenomenon could be due to the price of the telephone (629 euros), a relatively low price compared to the smartphones of the competition, notes

Presse-Citron

.

The number of copies of the Pixel 5 released by Google has not been specified.

The date when online stocks will be restocked was also not disclosed.

5G terminals are also still available from some merchants.
