May 26, 2020 Germany intends to lift travel restrictions to 31 European countries from June 15 if coronavirus development permits. This is what emerges from the draft of a resolution entitled "Criteria for the realization of inter-European tourism in Europe" anticipated by some German media. In addition to the other 26 EU states, the list includes Great Britain and the four Schengen states that are not part of the EU, namely Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The travel restrictions were issued by the Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas, on March 17: now it is a question of giving the opportunity to take holidays, given that "the recovery of tourism is important both for travelers and for the economy. German tourism as for the economic stability of the countries that represent the travel destinations ", as stated in the document.
