German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas announced that his country is seeking to open borders with more than 30 countries and allow its citizens to travel to it, with the onset of the summer and the start of the holiday season.

This comes after weeks after the German government banned travel to more than 200 countries in the world after the outbreak of the Corona virus, as it closed its borders and did not allow citizens to leave the country except in cases of necessity.

On the other hand, the German government continues its consultations on a new rescue package for the national economy.
