Germany has previously suspended the Nord Stream-2 certification process

  "Beixi-2" is a natural gas pipeline that bypasses Ukraine from Russia and goes directly to Germany via the Baltic Sea. It took more than 10 years from evaluation to completion, and was jointly funded by companies from Russia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Austria and other countries.

"Beixi-2" will be completed in September 2021, and it has operational capabilities on the hardware, but the realization of ventilation still requires the approval of the German Federal Network Administration and the review of the European Commission.

Affected by the changes in the situation in Russia and Ukraine, in February this year, the German side had announced the suspension of the certification process for the "Beixi-2" natural gas pipeline project.
