According to Gas Infrastructure Europe, as of February 12, the volume of active gas in European underground storage facilities is 22.9% (9.9 billion cubic meters) lower than last year.

“90.8% (43.4 billion cubic meters) of the volume of gas pumped in the summer season has already been withdrawn, that is, less than 10% remains,” Gazprom said in a statement.

It is noted that the overall level of occupancy of UGS facilities in Europe is less than 34%.

At the same time, underground storage facilities in Germany and France have already been devastated by more than 2/3.

Earlier it was reported that the price of gas in Europe at the opening of trading for the first time since the end of January rose above $1,000 per 1,000 cubic meters.
