Domestic gasoline and diesel prices continued to rise for the eighth straight week.



According to the Korea National Oil Corporation, the average selling price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the fifth week of June was 2,137.7 won per liter, up 21.9 won from the previous week.



As the fuel tax cut rate expanded from 20% to 30% from May, gasoline price fell 44.2 won in the first week of May from the previous week, but has risen for eight consecutive weeks since then.



Diesel prices also set a new record for eight weeks in a row, but the rise in gasoline and diesel prices stopped as the fuel tax cut expanded to 37% from yesterday (1st).
