The United Kingdom, which chairs the G7 Summit, which opens on the 11th, has agreed to provide at least one billion doses of vaccine as the G7 to end the spread of the new coronavirus. It was revealed that it is expected to be done.

The G7 Summit will open in Cornwall, southwestern England, on the afternoon of the 11th local time and on the night of the 11th Japan time, and the leaders of each country will exchange opinions face-to-face for the first time in about two years.

One of the pillars of the debate is how to cooperate in the supply of vaccines to end the global spread of the new coronavirus.

In this regard, the Presidency of the United Kingdom has said it expects to agree to provide at least one billion doses of vaccine as a G7 to end the spread by the end of next year.

Prior to the summit, British Prime Minister Johnson has indicated that he would call on countries to cooperate in vaccination in all countries of the world by the end of next year, with the UK providing at least 100 million doses.

Regarding the provision of vaccines, the United States has announced that it will provide 500 million doses of vaccine to developing countries, but it is unknown whether it will be included in this 1 billion doses.

It seems that the series of movements also aims to counter China as a G7, which is developing so-called "vaccine diplomacy" that strengthens its external influence through active supply.
